Good fast paced game early, but the Canes look faster and holding the puck in our own zone so far. Both teams getting shots and looking good both ways!

End of the first period Pens lead 1 to 0 from a goal from Mike Rupp.
Very fast and hard hitting first period so far, Canes looked more dominate in our zone controlling the puck and getting shot, but gave up one odd man rushed and payed with a sick dangle backhand from Mike Rupp his first as a Pen.

It kinda sucks I have to listen to Canes announcers, but that goal shut them up pretty quick - but other than that it's been a great fast-paced game.

Sid had to get his skates fixed and missed half the period -- couldn't cross the ice from the tunnel to the visitors bench because of the non-stop action.
