End of the second period as the Pens lead 2 to 1. A goal from a Kunitz deflection from an Orpik shot and the Pens are getting good chances, but Quick has lived up to his name tonight and made at least three stellar saves and as well the Kings are keeping the puck in the Pens zone and Fluery's rebound control is on tonight. A great game and good match up im excited for the third period.
LETS GO PENS!

Kings with 3 goals in the 3rd to take a 4-2 lead. Looks like the Pens will suffer their first road loss and their first regulation loss under Bylsma when leading after 2. The Pens are just too short-handed right now, and the Kings took full advantage.

Well the Kings just took over the third period and their size just dominated down low on Fluery as the Kings get three straight goals and lead 4 to 2 with 5 minutes remaining. Looks like the 7 and 0 streak is over, but I can't complain due to us missing Kennedy again Malkin, Gonch, and Talbot and we still find ways to win.

Our PP looked terrible tonight, but I can't judge just yet because Malkin and def. Gonch are key players to attribute to the PP. So moving on to a tougher opponent the Sharks Sat.

Seriously, I hope they all get back ASAP, because based on what I've seen the last 4 games, they are going to have a lot of problems this month with the schedule that they have. Anyway, they weren't going to go undefeated on the road and it's only their 4th loss of the season, but still...those key players being out of the lineup hurts them big time.

Horrible game by Fleury - he fell asleep and so did his defense. Sid was invisble, PP was ugly.

Kings dominated the game, especially in the 3rd period. I lost track of the number of wide open nets Guerin missed.

Kings are good this season I give them that and Quick played well of course as we saw, but we also missed several opportunities. Guerin had to have missed at least two wide open nets, and Sid just is not stepping up right now with these injuries.
The PP is scary bad right now the Kings PK was ranked 30th and we just got dominated so It won't get much better than that until we get Gonch our PP QB back in the line up as well as Malkin.
Kennedy also with this stupid Undisclosed injury junk is annoying and who knows when he will be back since he was out again tonight.
Well looks like until we get healthy the Pens have to do their best because this up coming schedule is anything but nice and thank god we are 12 and 4 so we have room.

It was just a bad game all around. They were lucky to have the lead going into the 3rd period, because they were badly outplayed from start to finish.

And I agree that Sid has not stepped up nearly enough - no points in his last 4 games. By no means am I blaming him - I want to make that clear - but still, with Malkin out, he needs to take charge of the game and score.

Anyway, I'm going to stop here. As I said, it's only their 4th loss of the season and they still have the best record in the East. No reason to get upset or panic, and this post is getting pretty close to that.

This is the first game they were out-skilled on the 2nd, 3rd and 4th lines. Kings have a nice team.

+ tax..... I think they've been using adrenaline, to mask the absence of Talbot, Gonchar, Malkin, and now Kennedy, and it is catching-up with them:
fortunately, they've been able to keep registering points, and if they weather this storm, I think they'll be OK in the long-run (although Sarge's importance is being magnified)

Just heard that Goligoski is now injured, and the Pens recalled Deryk Engelland to take his spot. Great. Just friggin' great. Things are just going from bad to worse for the team.

No Sarge, no Geno, no TK, no Talbot, and now no Go-Go = no chance against the Sharks tonight. I say a 7-1 loss, with the 1 coming late in the game to spoil Nabokov's shutout bid.
