I can see it now, the headlines this week will be "Ben is questionable for the KC game due to torn rectum"!

Pathetic!
Some of the best looking jerseys ever. And the better team was wearing them. I think most everybody here knows that.

Seriously, I'm glad we dominated this game...it was important for us after Baltimore last week. But I hope your Steelers can turn this mess around, otherwise it's going to be a VERY long season for you all.

Good luck...

Yeah...that was just bizarre. So bizarre we didn't even laugh.

Is it possible they actually had drills for that?

Things Under QB control:

1 - Plant both feet before you throw. Even last year when he scrambled and make passes 'on the fly' he would plant.

2 - Make reads quicker. Result of lingering injury to brain?

3 - If nothing's available, throw it away. JV QB's know this.

4 - If you're only throwing accurately to a 5-6 foot circle of your target(maybe as a result of 1), don't throw into double coverage. Most of his passes this year have been waaaaay too high. The rest are in front of or behind the receivers. Given his current level of accuracy, he just shouldn't be throwing balls into two/three man situations.

Just for the sake of arguement(cause at this point we really don't have anything else to lose), why not throw in batch for a few series during the next game? Hell, let him start and see what he can do. Right now, we CAN'T do any worse, so why not? Let Ben take some snaps, and if it looks like the same old crap, throw Batch in for a series.

I could care less at this point about hurting someone's feelings because "he's our guy". F that. I want to win ballgames. If Batch gives us a better chance to win, even if it's only during one or two plays, then he should be the one in the ballgame.

Sorry I was not a part of the live chat last night but I was away from my PC visiting the 'rents over the weekend. Anyway, the problem I see, outside of Ben not being himself is the BS play calling at crucial points in the game. That damn flee flicker in the 3rd quarter gave SD the momentum they were looking for and pretty much cost the Steelers the game from then on out. Our esteemed OC should realize that we do not have Randle El anymore, maybe someone forgot to tell him? Up to that horrible play call we were doing okay.

Just my 2 cents.

lets NOT forget about the steelers defense.they looked great in the first quarter but then it went down hill.sure they did stop san diego from scoring a few td,s & settling for field goals but they just gave rivers to much time.rivers looked damn good & no one expected the performance he gave.ANYWAYS......that was then & time to move on.baltimore leads the division @ 4-1 & cincy is 3-1 & pitts & clev are tied @ 1-3.the steelers are NOT out of it yet & the season is young but they gotta start winning & hopefully balt, ciny & clev lose.im a steelers fan for life & i accept the good with the bad.just like life.

The game was a worst case scenario for me, well not totally worst but pretty damn bad. SD coming off a game in which they lost because of "Marty ball." They adjusted their game plan in the 2nd quarter and turned Rivers loose. The right adjustments were not made for the second half and the only reason this game wasnt lopsided is because the Pittsburgh D kept it close.
