PITTSBURGH (AP) -- Ben Roethlisberger is getting most of the blame for the slumping Pittsburgh Steelers' offensive failings. Seven interceptions and no touchdown passes in three games are the kind of numbers that get a quarterback benched.
For all of Roethlisberger's struggles as he recovers from a trouble-filled offseason that included multiple hospital stays, he is hardly the only reason the Super Bowl champions have lost three in a row. "When people talk about Ben and what's going on with our offense, it's not Ben," All-Pro guard Alan Faneca said. "He takes the brunt of it because he's the quarterback and it's just kind of the way things are. The support cast around him, if we pick up our game and play better, then things turn out a little bit differently." http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/200....ap/index.html |

everyone is blaming him and i mean everyone, but its not as much as that we dont want him but it is because we dont want to blame anyone else, or as faneca said we blame ben because he is the QB.

No kidding blame can be placed on alot of players right now. But Ben's INT's have alot to do with the 1-3 start. I really say the Jags game was a wash. It was his first action of the season and really the whole offense stunk that night. But the Bengals game his first INT was huge. The Steelers could have went up 14-0 or at least 10-0. But that INT gave the Bengals new life. True the defense gave up the long TD drive. But that was still a huge play in that game.
I believe against the Chargers both of Ben's INT's the Chargers then got TD's have the INT if I remember correctly. Ben just needs to make better decisions. Thats the bottom line. Ben has recieved much credit in his first two years when the Steelers have been winning. So I have no problem seeing Ben getting the blame when the Steelers lose. For all the talk of benching Ben and starting Ben. Thats stupid you ride your starting QB through the good times and bad times. |

Well... Today, the O line played well, the receivers played well, and Ben played well. So I guess the question still isn't answered... whose fault is it? Then again, Let's hope we don't have to ask the question again!
