Default Gotta protect the ball much, much better.

Sloppy, sloppy ball carrying by too many to list, but Holmes and Parker top it, presently.

Special teams? I can hardly believe this is a Cowher team, as badly as they've botched special teams on both sides of the ball. I held my breath every time we kicked today, but I flicked around Holy water when they (the other team) did.

I challenge anyone to tell me the last time the Pittsburgh Steelers scored as many as 38 points & lost. It feels totally alien to me, this football day.

I'm glad I'm not the only one!!

It's frustrating to see somethings happen ssssoooooooo good......like Ben, Charlie and Hines and Troy playing their hearts out and have the game lost by stupid stupid mistakes.

Our ST are laughable... I wonder what the weak link(s) is/are. They have to be getting practice time in - maybe they're not getting enough? Do they perform well enough during the week and then just fold during gametime?

It makes you wonder about that article that was posted a little while ago - about the camraderie and relaxed nature of the Steelers as opposed to Davenport's (was it him???) previous team... maybe we are too relaxed and could use a little cracking down.

1)fully agree about protecting the ball; fully agree.
2)cowher's special teams units have always been solid, but lest we forget how they have been the sole reason we have lost certain playoff games that we had no business losing.
3)not points specifically, but this game reminded me alot of the last meeting. both teams defenses give up huge plays like crazy, tit for tat. alot was different specifically, but it just had the same crazy feel to me. this loss certainly hurt more than a typical one, as it was soooo full of peaks and valleys.

*sigh*....regroup, shake it off....
I've gotta agree with you on this one. (sigh) I spent the game wondering why he had so much time?!

The Patriots didn't bother with swagger to start this NFL season; they went straight to defiant. Either you're one of them or you're about to get crushed.

Special Teams are absolutely horrible and they will get further exposed as the season goes on.

The Steelers ST's were actually fortunate last week against Kansas City because there were two kick returns where if the last man back for the Steelers hadn't made the tackle it was a TD or two for the Chiefs.

My only concern with willie is that he holds on to the ball. Hopefully the bus taught him how to hold the rock tight in his pit.

That was written on 9/6/06 unfortunetly it has reared its ugly head.

These guys have to hold on to the damn ball. They are killing us with these turnovers.
