He got his melon thumped. Not sure if or how long he will be out.

He got nailed by 3 large Atlanta Falcon gentlemen.

He was down for quite a while, but then returned to the sidelines looking a little shaken for the rest of the game.

It was a shame really - he had captured last years playoff passing form earlier in the game.

It looks hopeful but I wish him all the best anyway - anymore injuries and he'll be in for a total rebuild.

The Patriots didn't bother with swagger to start this NFL season; they went straight to defiant. Either you're one of them or you're about to get crushed.

Two uncalled Helmet-to-Helmets on the guy. Seemed "ok" on the sideline (standing, knew what was going on, etc.). We can comfortably sit him out against Oakland if need be.

I was at the game and was surprised/concerned how long he was down after what did not appear tio be a particularly hard hit.

My concern is we do not know the severity of the trauma relating to Ben's accident. I have no clue how that impacts his ability to take a hit.

Bottom line is this season appears to be hexed - I only wish everything thta has happened since the Super Bowl could be a do over.

Ben was having an awesome game!!!!!!

Now, if I was a Bungle fan, I'd say the only way they could win the game was to take out our quarterback....

But alas......we have that amazing Charlie Batch......who stepped up to the plate like the warrior he is.........he done me proud!! I think we will do just fine in that department until Ben is back. (sigh......here's hoping he can jump back in without that rusty game he always seems to have after an injury) Now if Cowher can rip a few you know whats and put an end to those costly fumbles and penalties before it's too late, I'll be a happy Steelersbabe.

I'll be happy too when we finally sit Kendall Simmons. That was his guy who rocked Ben from the front andon the next play he totally whiffed again on a pitch to Willie. Simmons didnt even have the courtesy to yell "lookout" on either play. After that Grimm pulled him for Kemoeatu and "Kemo" started pancaking some Falcon @ss.
Bye Bye Kendall. Cheers to the new "Kemo"

Question: Since we all know how true this is, should the Steelers start him next week versus Oakland even if he's just under 100%? I don't exactly think that he'll be running for his life, so maybe he can have his usual coming back crappy game against the worst team in the NFL.

This is assuming he's between 90 and 100% of course, because we all know Charlie can do it if he's not.
