Notebook: Starting outside linebackers available for Sunday

Clark Haggans returned to practice Friday. Coupled with Joey Porter's return Wednesday, that allowed the Steelers to have both of their starting outside linebackers available in advance of Sunday's game in Oakland. Porter (hamstring) hasn't started since the Steelers' loss Oct. 8 in San Diego. Haggans (ankle) missed some snaps last Sunday in Atlanta and hadn't practiced Wednesday or Thursday. He was upgraded to probable following yesterday's practice.

• Nose tackle Casey Hampton (hamstring) missed practice for the third straight day yesterday, but spent the walk across the parking lot from the Steelers' indoor practice facility to their locker room on the South Side bending coach Bill Cowher's ear. Hampton still wants to play against the Raiders. Hampton was downgraded to doubtful yesterday.

• For the Steelers, linebacker James Harrison (ankle), safety Mike Logan (hamstring) and wide receiver/punt returner Willie Reid (foot) are listed as out; Hampton (hamstring) is doubtful; quarterback Ben Roethlisberger (concussion) is questionable; and Haggans (ankle), wide receiver Sean Morey (toe), wide receiver Cedrick Wilson (groin), safety Tyrone Carter (shoulder), wide receiver Santonio Holmes (toe/shoulder), fullback Dan Kreider (ankle), Porter (hamstring) and wide receiver Nate Washington (thumb) are probable. Haggans, Hampton, Roethlisberger, Wilson and Kreider are starters. Morey and Wilson also were upgraded yesterday. For the Raiders, quarterback Aaron Brooks (shoulder) is listed as doubtful; running back LaMont Jordan (back) and defensive tackle Warren Sapp (hip) are questionable; and running back Justin Fargas (shoulder), cornerback Fabian Washington (hamstring) and tight end Randall Williams (quadriceps) are probable. Brooks, Jordan, Sapp and Washington are starters.

So, Walter isnt the starter because Brooks is injured?
