Good god. Yeah, it was a crappy game... crappy season... etc... but geez... give me a freakin' break with all of these 'throwing in the towel' posts. We're talking about a team that brought you all a CHAMPIONSHIP not even a year ago!! I'm a huge Orioles fan, and I know what its like to root for a losing team that breaks your heart every season... with a team like that, you know the fans that stick around are the true fans.

Like another poster already said, true fans don't jump ship on their team. No matter what.

End of story.

Go Stillers.

I'm not throwing in the towel at all. I also happen to be a Pirates fan as well as an Orioles fan. I haven't given up on them. We just need a change.

Just remember - what we are feeling tonight will be the same feeling fans of every team but one will have between now and when the season ends in Miami in early February.

I just did not expect to be having that feeling that the season is over before Halloween.

Let me start out by saying that I will always be grateful for being able to experience what was an absolutely thrilling run during the final two months of last season. I'll cherish those memories for as long as I live. However, that doesn't make what is happening now any less disappointing. Just because the Steelers won last year's Super Bowl doesn't mean that we don't all want to see them win this year's that much more. Nobody is throwing in the towel here, but we do have the right to be pissed off about the fact that this team which is capable of great things, is seriously underachieving right now.

Clear example of a bandwagon fan.

I'm not a Steelers fan, I will never be, but the season is not even half over and you have stopped supporting the team.
