The only thing I see that is being proven here is that you are an idiot.

Watch a couple Steelers games before you want to claim that.

what makes him an idiot? ... not to toot my own horn or anything but I made a prediction at the beginning of the year that our running game will struggle, and struggle bad. PARKER IS NOT THE ANSWER. however, i feel that he brings some excelent talent to our backfield, just not the kind that can wear a team down. Bring on michael bush man

Right. Maybe we should get another aging 260 lb. running back, from Detroit, that will play for less than $1.5 million a year and hope he provides us some inspiration?

This has nothing to do with how well our running backs have performed. Anyone that believes that Ben can't win without a strong rushing attack should really look at how Ben has performed when Willie rushed for 2 or less yards per carry last season.

I do not think it is the running game we should worry about.
If Ben would quit throwing INTs we would not be in the position.
When we cannot pass well it makes us one-dimensional and they key on the run because team feel that we ca not beat them passing.
When he throws INTs we get behind and cannot run as we should.

Parker had 111 yards of total offense and 1 TD today. He was the bright spot on offense.

He has more TDs this year rushing than last year already.
His average yards per game are what they were last year.
As a team we are averaging 114 yards rushing a game and Willie has 80 yards a game.
That is 70% of our running game.

No need to call me an idiot. I've watched all of the games this season. Just because you're pissed about the loss doesn't mean you have to take it out on me. Ben shouldn't have started and our running game is not working. If we had the running game we wouldn't have to rely on Ben as much.

The Steelers made a mistake by not addressing and finding a SOLID complimentary back for Willie Parker.
Thinking Verron Haynes and or "Street Clothes" Staley were the answers was a huge blunder and bringing in Najeh Davenport was just a "finger in the dike" solution to the problem.
I honestly believe the Steelers thought they could compensate for a questionable power back by putting more on Ben's plate and having him pick up the slack with larger passing attack.

This season has some eerie similarities to the 2003 team with the expanded passing efforts with a shakey Tommy Maddox at QB and an equally dismal quality of play.

Its very possible that Ben would have been able to carry the extra load this year, if he hadn't had such a terrible time with injuries.

Of course he has played awful for the most part, that can't be denied, but im sure that a QB's decision making is directly linked to his mental/physical fitness.

As far as the running game goes, it hasnt actually been too bad.

It got totally shut down against Jekyll'n'Hyde Jacksonville (anyone see what they did to the Eagles yesterday?) but they are still a mid ranked running team.

Some Steeler fans seem to think that they are owed a dominant running game *Newsflash* every team wants one of those, most teams dont get them.

I still believe that Cowher has allowed a keen, yet naive QB to influence his decison to play him when he clearly isn't ready.

The Patriots didn't bother with swagger to start this NFL season; they went straight to defiant. Either you're one of them or you're about to get crushed.
