Terry Bradshaw.I never git to see him play live (I was born in 1985) but he is my Grandpa's favorite all-time player. My grandpa told me stories about him and the rest of the 70's Steelers as I grew up.

My first memory is of the Thanksgiving Day game against the Lions. The ref got Bettis' call wrong and awarded the ball to the Lions in overtime, they won on a field goal.I was so mad I threw pillows at the tv.At that moment,I knew what it meant to be a Pittsburgh Steelers fan.

The first Steeler I remember meeting was Terry Hanratty (the guy in my avatar), I was around 4 or 5 years old and he signed my T shirt. He was a favorite around town because he was a local kid.

The first Steelers I don't remember meeting are Rocky Bleier and Dick Hoak... there's some old super 8 home movies of me as a baby around 1968 at a practice with my Mom& Dad. My Dad was working the camera, and it was funny because the camera keeps drifting away from Mom & me to the guys in Black & Gold!

....and wow

mine was terry bradshaw. i remember buying all the nfl books at the school book fair so i could read about him and the steelers. (this was before the internet)

i cried when he retired because of his shoulder. he was the steelers to me when i was a little to young to appreciate the intricacies of defense.

Mine was Carnell Lake. My sister was a cheerleader for midgets football (little kid's football) and I went to one of their banquets in the early 90's. Carnell Lake was the guest speaker. I was pretty young, maybe 5, but I remember walking up to him with my piece of paper to get his autograph. I don't know if I knew who he was or if I was told who he was, but I was so nervous.

Great memory, and easily my first Steelers one.

Maybe I did put it in wrong way grammatically, that's why i hate myself when I get into anything in English. What I meant was that:

In a short period of time, first one was Kordell, then it was Maddox, then Jerome.
