Default lions mike furrey has 98 receptions

he had 0 receptions last year. this has to be the quietest 98 reception season any receiver has ever had. this on a team that spent 3 of their last 4 1st round picks (all top 10) on c. rogers, m. williams, and r. williams.

unbelievable

Yeah, the past couple of years this has happened in Detroit. Last year it was Scottie Vines who came out of nowhere and caught 40 balls, surpassing Mike Williams and Charles Rogers. This year it's Mike Furrey with with 98 receptions, who had had only 21 in his first 3 years in the league.

Roy Williams had a monster year as well, but maybe Furrey's emergence the Lions organization will realize that you don't need to spend a 1st round pick to get a quality receiver who can catch the ball.

further research shows he was a UFA who had ZERO receptions last year cause he was listed as a safety. his rise from nowhere reminds me of jericho chrotchery with the jets.

who wouldve ever guessed the furrey-crotch combo could have this impact?
