Dude,

1) listen to him talk about reading the O-Lines butts to find the seams
2) how he's mentored patience and reads to Fast Willie
3) ...and not to mention the locker room leadership (which has been a little lacking this season).

I would absolutely LOVE to see Jerome on the coaching staff.

Dude, All great backs can have the ability to read O line butts, and finding the holes, bening paitent etc. Not all ex players make great coaches. Bettis is doing his thing, in my opinion, not interested, never said you had to agree DUDE!

I wonder if he would be interested. If he is, I think he would be great for the job! I would have like to see him there this past year for leadership in the locker room.

I wonder what a major netowrk analyst vs. a running backs coach makes?

Right on!!

Whoever it is we can only hope to get the same type of loyalty, leadership and Steelers attitude that Hoak brought to the job.

when i heard news of jax firing 5 assistants i immediately thought of kennedy pola (troys uncle) who did a great job with f. taylor and m. jones drew. he did such a good job he is in the running with mike tice to fill the newly vacated jaguars o- coord. position.

oh well.

I think it would be awsome to have Bettis here and back in the locker room with his leadership skills. I know the team misses the bus in the locker room. I like some would love to see this happen. But I doubt it happens. But maybe the love of the game drags him back to the stressful world of football if the coaching staff would offer him something like this. Then there is the question would The Bus want something like this. Id say lets wait and see who the head coach for us will be first. If its Cowher it might just might have a chance.

Pittburgh Front Office: We are prepared to pay you $350,000 a year starting out.
Jerome: I make more than that as an analyst.
Pittsburgh Front Office: We will give you an expense account.
Jerome: I get one already.
Pittsburgh Front Office: You wont have to work with Chris Collingsworth.
Jerome:.......soooooo I sign right here by the "X" ..right?

I don't see any chance. Why would he want it? Bettis likes the $2500 suit gigs. Too much like Magic trying to coach the Lakers.
