Here's an interesting look at some of our Draft Prospects. I believe the article to be well written and gives a viable breakdown of personnel that could very well be wearing Black and Gold here in a few months.
http://www.tribune-democrat.com/cnhi...051000804.html Carriker, Revis, and Lynch have some interesting qualities.................

Good article. Wexell is usually a good writer with solid opinion. When I used to live back in the area I always enjoyed readign his articles.

"No. 15 – Ted Ginn, WR, Ohio State. New offensive coordinator Bruce Arians would like to implement more four-wide sets on run downs, but his Nos. 3-5 receivers consist of a veteran disappointment (Cedrick Wilson), a raw, inconsistent tease (Nate Washington), and an injured novice who’s small enough to be injured again (Willie Reid).
Ginn would make sense as a return man and home-run hitter out of the slot, but the Steelers will look at his raw route-running and his non-existent blocking and forget about the 4.3 40 that he won’t be able to run at the combine because of the foot he injured when his team piled on him in the end zone after he returned the opening kickoff in the national title game." |

Great article, I myself was dismissing Carriker and Lynch as possibilities. I find it interesting not one LB was mentioned, nor DE/OLB conversion. I also found interesting the mention of the move for Simmons to center, which I have thought and mentioned previously. This draft will be interesting, more so than others, in the sense we get to see the direction coach Tomlin and the team are headed. I guess I won't be so surprised now however if we do not draft defense first.

First off, outside of the Steelers front office organization, there's not a single person in the media world that knows what Tomlin and the Steelers may be thinking. If anyone leaked strategic information, the leak would be found and the mole would be dismissed as fast as you can say "Cleveland Sucks" ...
This article .. among all the others, is nothing more than one mans opinion. |

I agree to a point. The organization part I agree with and that Tomlin hasnt let anyone know outside the greatest organization ever. Everyone has an opinion and I agree with that but the man is a well know writter that obviously knows a little more than some of us, including myself. I love the pick of Carriker or Revis in the first round and then maybe a Power Back 4th round or so. I just dont think that we are in bad enough need for a 3rd reciever to draft one in the first round again this year no way! I think DE OT and CB is the most glaring needs for our team right now, maybe not exactly in that order. |
