Default Stay Classy L.T.

?We kind of wanted to stay balanced. They really didn?t stop anything we did. It wasn?t a factor I think in anything they did. They didn?t stop us. We moved the ball up and down the field. They did a good job in the red zone at times, and even when we got good field position, they buckled down in certain situations to stop us. I think their whole mindset was in certain situations to come up with a stop. They did that.?

Contradiction?

oh yeah and...

Not defending the Pat's actions but I thought he could have dealt with the situation at hand better.

It certainly seemed to be out of character for a three time SB champion to be going nuts over a win in the conference semi-finals.

Once he cools off LT probably will recognize that he should have just stayed quiet (or called out his own coaches and teammates instead), especially since Merriman's premeditated dance is itself arguably disrespectful.

Since the Pats did not dance at midfield after either victory at Heinz in the AFC Championship, this incident may just reflect the franchises regarded as being on the top shelf feeling a need to put the nouveau riche teams in their place.

Just as I do not recall the Pats dissing the Steelers after playoff wins, I do not recall the Steelers doing any particular on field taunting after winning at Indy or Denver (2 teams with winning traditions) last year in the playoffs. OTOH, Cowher led the Who Dey chant in the locker room after the Steelers beat the mouthy Bengals (who had not been to the playoffs since the first Bush Administration) and then repeated it at the SB parade.

Just a thought.

Merriman is the one who is classless. He does his dance even if he just pressure the QB into throwing the ball away.

Agreed - if you don't want players from other teams making fun of your "dance," don't make an ass of yourself by "inventing" a dance in the first place. If you make a good play, just get up, go back to the huddle and keep your mouth shut.

Question here. If Merrimans dance is classless how classless is Joey's dance? Kinda like the pot calling the kettle black. IMO

There's a big difference between one player doing a celebration after a play, and a whole team doing it to mock a certain player, then afterwards yelling at the opposing team (which the Pats did)
