Are our RB's really a concern ?

Yes Duce is hurt, but its not serious and it did happen at a good time, in camp, so he has extra time to heal and not miss much of the season. Jerome is healthy, in great shape, and ready to roll. Haynes is healthy and he's showed alot of good stuff when he gets his chances. Parker is fast as lightening and has more power than people think. Herron is a versatile guy and showing good things so far.

Yes we need them all healthy, but is it REALLY all that bad ?

Right now it concerns me since Duce is injuried. If Duce was healthy I wouldn't be as concerned. I think Duce's injury happened at a good time. He is a veteran camp isn't as important as it is to a rookie. It's during training camp and not the regular season. If Duce stays healthy I think all will be well. But I do believe we need to draft a RB next year.

oh yeah, next year I would imagine RB will a big Priority, as will DL too. I just think we have alot of good RB's, youth and experience, that it isnt quite as bad as people seem to think. Just my .02 though.

I agree. Willie Parker looks sharp and damn is he fast.

and don't get me wrong.. Im concerned about Duce being healthy all year. Im concerned about any of our starters staying healthy, but we are pretty deep talent wise at RB.

Yeah, it's a concern. We play a physical style of football. Bettis and Staley fit that mode. Parker is just a good change of pace IMO.

I for one am concerned. I know I`ve mentioned it before. Haynes and Staley are not reliable backs. They seem to get hurt alot. Like others have written this is not a finesse type offense, its a brutal pounding offense. You need a back that can take the hits day after day.

The RB depth we have now is pretty good compared to other teams, we have all we need we have bruiser backs(Bettis,Noah),also we have speedsters(willie) and pass catching RB's(haynes),our setup is pretty good. Also, i think this is good to let some more light shine on our rookies in camp.AT most there saying 1 game for duce to miss during the season, and the game is against the Titans which is a pretty easy game.

Agreed about our offense and the type of backs that you need to run it. We've got decent talent at all the RB spots. Power, speed, catching ability, blocking. The injury factor worries me like it would anybody else, but this is still only preseason. We arent the only team with injury problems and we alot less of them than many other teams right now.

This will definately be interesting.

I think Willie will shine given the chance, just can he consistantly run straight up the middle, breaking tackles ? We need him in every area, as well as our other backs to stay healthy. But as of right now that unit isn't a cause for concern IMO>
