Many of the mockdrafts i have seen have the steelers selecting Quentin Moses, DE, Georgia. Apparently he did not have a good week of practice and weighed in at only 249 lbs. Doesnt sound like a 4-3 DE to me.

Interesting info on the No 1 Center in the draft.... Troy Smith apparently played like a 4th or 5th rounder.... Patrick Willis, the MLB from Ole Miss did not impress anyone and appears to be falling out of round 1.... this okoye guy from Louisville sounds like a good fit.... he could play DT or DE in the 3-4.... if we are gonna play a hybrid D he might be the guy

Yeah, I can't believe that Okoye kid is only 19. I think he started college when he was 16. He looked pretty solid out there.

kirwan and cross were just discussing him on sirius. hes done so well and reminds so many of a young warren sapp (w/o the baggage) that he may not fall past tampa bay at the 4 spot. they also stated how he's not a good fit for the 3-4. if hes there at 15 i could definitely see him being taken by us and groomed for our hybrid defense and an eventual transition to the 4-3.

Since when has Sports Illustrated been the No.1 Draft information place anyway? Thats a joke in its self.
The DE from Nebraska looked pretty good to me if we are talking about DE's now. Carriker I think is his name, he looked very fast and agressive and they said he would be a great fit in the 3-4 that we are still running by the way. But I think our No.1 pick should be used on either a LB DB or OT, in just my opinion.

Carriker is a beast....and Moses is virtually the exact size of Porter. Still think we need a stud LB with the first pick...and a lineman in the second...but I think they will probably go DB in the second and pick up a lineman in the second. Just because of the quality of the players in those rounds.

Okoye would be a very nick pick just like SteelerfaninCA said he is only 19, so by the time he blossoms into a elite player, he still will be very young at age 22-23
