Thank you Tony, FCG and Father. He is being a good patient and not overdoing it - he knows the risks and possible consequences if he does. His spirits are good considering what he is facing in 3-4 weeks. I really believe all of the prayers are helping him to cope and get through. I can't thank you all enough.

I know you will, my sweet buddy. Thank you.

I think not being permitted to work from now until 8-12 weeks after his surgery is going to be more difficult for him than getting through the surgery/recovery period.

Thanks, bcrabt. He's holding his own and they have him on 2 different blood thinners to get the clot to either dissolve or pass easily. He's going for a lung scan next week to check on the status of the clot and if it is gone, his surgery will be scheduled for 2-3 weeks.

I wanted to brain him this past week when I caught him outside chipping the ice off of my car. I grabbed the scraper and threatened to smack him upside the head with it if he didn't stop. He's as stubborn as a mule and still thinks he is Superman. Ughhh.

Well, least he is doing that instead of going outside and smoking.

I am still praying for him.

HA HA HA!!!

His recovery time is going to be 8-12 weeks after surgery if he makes it through. This is a very risky surgery for him because of the very weakened condition of his heart. I've been very patient and tolerant of his verbal outbursts (which is one of the reasons I walked away) because I know he is very concerned and masking his fear with anger. I just continue to ask God to heal him and give me the strength to continue to help him through. He is going to have a lung scan either today or tomorrow to see if the clot has dissolved or passed - then the surgery will be scheduled.

Thank you all for your continued prayers and the little jokes that give me a much needed laugh!
