Default interested in giants Arrington, Emmons, or Pettigout?

giants trimmed the fat today and cut these 3 players. 2 LB's and an OT.

of course theres the pennsylvania connection with arrington. emmons was drafted by and had his best season with the steelers (6 sacks in 99). petitgout is in his 8th year and experinced at tackle and guard.

all 3 have serious injury concersn and really wouldnt be worth a look unless we could get tham at basememt price. arrington may be attractive cause maybe now he would now give an affordable hometown discount, but he will probably make more with a team like oakland or the 49ers on name alone. im not sure if luke is an upgrade over any of our back up linemen. emmons has about 10 years or so under his belt.

any of them could probably make the roster though, but all would be a gamble.

Agreed - as well as be willing to take a healthy hometown discount on his asking price....

I'd be willing to give Lavar an opportunity to finally fulfill his potential. But not an excessive 'Price Tag'.

any would be a positive addition but they would have to be willing to take a pay cut playing here since someone will definately overpay them. imo, they are towards the end of their career so they may take a pay cut to go to a superbowl contending team so their is a chance.

IMHO Arrington is the Plaxico Burress of linebackers - physically has all the tools but a total head case. Hate to say it, but that actually may be unfair to Burress, since Plax at least is not injured half the time.

The last thing Tomlin needs in his first year is a player with a rep of challenging coaches.

Default LaVar Arington Cut by Giants

Worth a look? ...

Arington in Black & Gold would be a nice homecoming for the guy and also a great way to ressurect his career. I know the guy has been injury prone, but it might be worth Tomlin's time to bring him in to talk to him. ..... see what he has to offer.
