The Patriots pay their offensive line less in total then many teams pay just one offensive line star. Tedy Bruschi was paid 800,000 last year. Ty Law is gone because he got greedy. You think because the Steelers operate the way you suggest that thats the best way. It may be the best way for you guys to operate, but it isn't the model all teams should go by. Actually, that's pretty much the same model the Pats use, at least up until the new Brady contract.
Pats Salary Cap Info Three of the top four guys are defenders, and six of the top ten (the other four are Brady, Dillon, Light and Vinatieri.) And Ty Warren and Vince Wilfork are next in line. And I said you can find bargains on the O-line; the Pats have done that. |
