On the thread for "thoughts on preseaon game 3" I called it perfectly. 10 points and 7 came from the D. 8% 3rd down conversion rate. That is terrible. The offense is a joke. It is going to be a long season if things don't change. Big Ben has been horrible. The only shinning thing so far has been Parker. Hate to be the bearer of bad news fellas.

Yes its pretty obvious to anyone who's been watching these games unfortunately...its pretty bad when your starting offense cant punch atleast 1 into the endzone even in a meaningless game. All you can keep saying is, its preseason, its preseason, these games dont mean anything come Sept. 11 against the titans. Hopefully this 2 week rest will allow Jerome to heal up, and fortunately we dont have much injury issues at other positions other than Porter who should be back for opening day and we've got Harrison !!

I really hope that's either sarcasm or just an emotional outburst. My goodness.

If you are seriously concerned about going 3-13, I'll just say that although the offense looks bad now, a defense as good as this will never be on a 3-13 team. The offense would have to be worse than the Chicago Bears offense was last year (which is nigh-impossible). And I'm not throwing in the towel after the third preseason game, call me crazy.

I hate the playcalling I think it has a lot to do with Ben's inconsistency. You can't expect Ben to constantly complete 3 and longs. Running on consecutive downs with V. haynes isn't going to help the cause. I felt like we should of pass the entire first half, everybody in the staduim knows we can run the ball. So let Ben air it out a lil bit and see how it plays out, IMO

owa! calm down mayne, it was a preseason game. have some faith, they'll get their shit together. the defense is great so that'll win us 5-6 games just becasue we can stop ppl. the offense will click, they're just getting ward back so now wilson has to go back and learn what he was supposed to be learning in the first place. right now i don't like randle el so i hope wilson can steal that starting spot or maybe gibson can step up and take it. that's really my only concern about this team is that we got a bunch of midget wrs. and don't foget big ben usually got going in the second half of games or at least that's what i saw when i actually got to see the games, he can't get into a rythm playing two quarter and he throws once. don't worry the steelers will be fine and we'll get into the playoffs.

Ouch dude, relax :D 3-13, nah. I know ur pissed off now w/ the first team offense, just like the rest of us. But I'll wait to reserve judgement on this season till we say how the starters play in the regular season..

And know this as well..

You can call a team a Super Bowl contender when they have a great preseason ...anymore than you can call a team a bust when they have a poor preseason. It's just that, preseason, meaningless in terms of records. Sure I wanna see the first team get a few good drives going this last game as much as anyone. I wanna see Ben be accurate with his passes, make good decisions, and be calm in the pocket. I wanna see the WR catch everything thrown to them, and starting OL give good protection and open up lanes to run through.

Don't worry too much just yet.. there's work to be done, yes..but its not a lost cause. :)

I don't know what to say except that im sure we will not only win 3 games! It's only pre-season, maybe its just to throw teams off, u know? Maybe we are not really trying...to win....I don't know...GO STEELERS!

I feel that this could be a long terrible season. I can sit in my den and call the Steeler offensive plays before they run them. So I'm guessing that it wouldn't be to difficult for a defensive CO to do it to.
