Default Bucs Ink another decent signing;

Tampa Bay made another big free agent strike on Saturday, signing coveted free agent LB Cato June, a Pro Bowl defender who has topped 100 tackles each of the past three seasons

Colts fans playing off all the defense that there loosing this off season and saying players they have lost will not hurt there defense. There defense finally started to click and at the right time but do to there bad management in cap they could not resign keys that they lost. They had to tag Freeney just to keep him one more year.

with the free agent bonanza it is wierd it took cato this long to even get a visit with a team. he was a leading tackler on the sb champs! did the colts leak a rumor to keep his value and desirability down? is he in the drug program? this is the possible speculation ive heard

Its possible that the awful regular season performance by nearly everyone on the Colts D was enough to scare people away.

June reularly got run over by opponents and alot of fans were calling for his head toward the end of the regular season.

How the Colts collectively raised their defensive game through the postseason will always be a mystery to me.

This is good news for fans of AFC teams.

The Patriots didn't bother with swagger to start this NFL season; they went straight to defiant. Either you're one of them or you're about to get crushed.

Colts defense could not tackle a sole during regular season come the playoffs some how they became the top defense in the playoffs. This I think is the first SB were the worst rushing defense in the league won a SB. Colts front D line was so jello that most of the tackles were in the secondary along with over 200 yards a game in rushing a lone. It is wierd tho living how they changed and did a 360 on defense. I agree coaches are staying away do to how they sucked in regular season play.

Good for them, probably overpaid............ though it is a little late for the super big bucks like Joey and Adalius Thomas received.

Ex-Colts LB June signs with Buccaneers

TAMPA, Fla. (March 17, 2007) -- Free-agent linebacker Cato June signed a contract with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

The fifth-year pro spent his first four seasons with Indianapolis. He started 45 of 56 games he appeared in with the Colts and has 10 career interceptions. He made a team-high 162 tackles in 2006.

A sixth-round draft pick in 2003, June had five interceptions in 2005 and was picked to play in the Pro Bowl for the first time. He started all 20 games for the Super Bowl champions last season.
