Draft 2006

its early, i know. but what are we going to take?

I think our glaring needs are at WR, CB, and RB. If Willie has a breakout year, which is possible, maybe we don't need anybody. But if we stick with Staley and Pakrer does ok and bettis does ok, i think we need a dominant guy. I have got my eye on Deangelo Williams. I love this guy, i never like how the Steelers draft though so we will see..

We still need depth at OT, i think we'll take one somewhere between 2-5 depending on how other positions work this year. but yes, CB, WR, and RB are all likely options, it just depends on what happens this season as to which'll be first round.

GO D-LO!! I shouldnt do this because every time i want the stillers to pick someone in the draft, they dont pick them. I really feel we should take Deangelo, well that is if parker doesnt play well, which i have a feeling he will, so I DONT KNOW!!

I think we should take a RB in the draft definitely or atleast acquire a good one in free agency or a trade. I agree with Coach too. I think we will take a OT maybe in the 4th or 5th round. I don't know if we will draft a receiver. We very well may. I think that depends on how our receivers do this year. We have a lot of young talent mixed in with some veterans. Ward, Wilson, and ARE we know what they can do. Guys like Gibson and Washington are still unproven and we need to see what happens with them.

Well go after a RB in the 1st alot of talant might fall to us.and always check out the draft section of SF, i always update date it with the top talenta in each spot ;).

I think they will draft a RB within the 1st 3 rounds along with a WR. OT maybe 4th and up just because it will be for depth (they did take OT T. Essex in the 3rd this year). Maybe they'll take a OG early(2nd or 3rd round) with Simmons on his contract year and Kemoeatu poised to move into the starting lineup. They could save money with that swapp. The 1st pick for the Steelers will be best player available at these positions RB,WR,FS,CB. Hope, Williams, (I think)and Townsend are FA's.

I wanted to say something about FS too but Hope doesn't do a bad job and you never know whose gonna be a fan of the guy :P

I like Hope too. But he said he's looking to cash in. We cant afford to invest big money at that position. We would be better off with a ball hawking FS if possible.

I'd be very surprised if we go RB in the 1st round..unless the class is very thin at that position there is always tons of talent in the 3rd round and on the 2nd day. You might also see us go after a guy like larry johnson from KC or another FA.

DL will be a priority, as will LB
