Default Purely Speculation

With all this talk of Trent Green going to Miami, wouldn't that leave Daunte up for releasing or a trade, possibly to Oakland? It makes a lot of sense, as it reunites him with Randy for a starter.

What do you guys think of this as a possibilty and what kind of effect on the draft would it have?

Thats a pretty leftfield suggestion....I like it.

Culpepper is everything Al Davis requires in a QB - huge arm...ummmm...huge arm.....likes to throw the deep ball with his....you get the idea.

If Green does end up in Miami, which I think is a great move (for the Patriots,Jets and Bills), then Culpepper will be the odd man out as the only other guy on the rosetr with starting aspirations.

Harrington had a long stretch as starter and looked like a poor option, Cleo Lemon has lifetime backup written all over him.

If this trade was to go down I can only imagine it having a negligible effect on the draft - Daunte certainly isn't going to be traded for a 1st day pick - maybe a 4th rounder if the Raiders are feeling generous.

If this deal does go down, i'd remortgage the house and bet it all on Culpepper setting a new NFL record for fumbles in a season behind that Oakland O-Line.

The Patriots didn't bother with swagger to start this NFL season; they went straight to defiant. Either you're one of them or you're about to get crushed.

I think it would be a good trade, wether or not that will happen is another story, but it sounds like a possible one.

Remember the Dolphins just released Harrington so getting Trent Green would only be helping them solidify the QB situation. With Daunte's inability to stay healthy for an entire season recently the Dolphins need someone that can play QB for more than 2 or 3 games. Trent Green would give them that and would eventually leave the Dolphins right where they are today - no young QB!

I was thinking it would affect the draft in that JaMarcus Russell would not be in Oakland's draft plans if they aquired Culpepper.
