Last Saturday at Heinz Field with a nearly record breaking crowd Almost 65,000 fans - boy was it loud This was the AFC Divisional Playoff game To see the Steelers play the Jets again is why we came The stadium was full of black and gold wearing fans Screaming & yelling with Terrible Towels in their hands It started off with the Steelers up by ten By the end it proved to be a bad day for Big Ben If it wasn't for our defense and two bad kicks by Brien The Jets would have won and we would be cryin' A win is a win but that was last week Now we move on and another victory is what we seek We watched on Sunday to see who our next opponent would be Just as we guessed it's the Patriots led by Brady The game is a rematch - call it Halloween II Last time we totally dominated Brady & crew The excuse they used was that Dillon wasn't in With or without Dillon we know we can win As long as they play like they did last time Then I'll get a chance to write a Superbowl rhyme Call it fate, call it destiny, call it whatever you choose This is the year of the Steelers - they refuse to lose So, as the words of the Visa commercial would say NOT IN OUR HOUSE - NOT TODAY! |

Here is a cool Steelers' joke:
John Elway, after living a full life, passed away. When he got to heaven, God was showing him around and they came to a modest little house with a faded Bronco's flag in the window. "This house is yours for eternity, John," said God. "This is very special; not everyone gets a house up here." Elway felt special, indeed, and walked up to his house. On his way up the porch, he noticed another house just around the corner. It was a 3-story mansion with a Black and Gold sidewalk, a 50 foot tall flagpole with an enormous Steeler logo flag, and in every window, a Terrible towel. Elway looked at God and said "God, I'm not trying to be ungrateful, but I have a question. I was an all-pro QB, I won 2 Super Bowls, and I even went to the Hall of Fame." God said "So what's your point John?" "Well, why does Ben Roethlisberger get a better house than me?" God chuckled, and said, "John, that's not Ben's house, it's mine." ;D GO STEELERS!!! |

Here's another one...
Four football fans go rock climbing one afternoon, a Cowboys fan, a Packers fan, a Steelers fan, and a Patriots fan. They had been arguing all the way up the mountain about who among them was the most 'die-hard' fan. Upon reaching the top of the mountain, the Cowboys fan proclaimed to the other four...'This is for the Dallas Cowboys!' and promptly threw himself off the mountain as a form of sacrifice. Not to be outdone by a Cowboys fan, the Packers fan jumped up and said... 'This is for the Green Bay Packers!? and then threw himself off the mountain again as a form of sacrifice. Refusing to be out done by the Cowboy and Packer fans, the Steelers fan rose to his feet and yelled at the top of his lungs 'This is for the Pittsburgh Steelers!' and without hesitation, pushed the New England Patriots fan off the mountain. Go Steelers!!!!!!!!!!;D Go Steelers!!!!!!!!!!;D |

Here are some tips for your next poem: find words and phrases that rhyme with "pitt fans eating crow", "our team was embarassed", "the champs dominated us".
Hope there isn't too much pain and sorrow here come Sunday night. God Help us! |
