Default SF Mock Drafts

At LLT's request, I created a thread to keep everyone's mocks in one place. Feel free to create your own mock and post it here. If you want your mock draft updated, please let me or one of the other Mods know and we'll be happy to make the edit for you.

This thread is for each member's mock drafts ONLY - if you wish to discuss the selections, please post your reply in the appropriate mock draft threads started by each member.

Thanks!

Default Re: SF Mock Drafts

Mock Draft - lambert'slosttooth:

1. Oakland Raiders - Jamarcus Russell, QB Louisiana State (After seeing Russell play against Quinn..I think Oakland forgoes another Vet and drafts for the future)

2. Detroit Lions - Brady Quinn, QB Notre Dame (..and again...I have no faith that Detroit will draft responsibly)

3. Cleveland Browns - Adrian Peterson, RB Oklahoma (Hate to see Adrian in our division but Cleveland has a great opportunity with the 3rd pick)

4. Tampa Bay Buccaneers- Calvin Johnson, WR Georgia Tech (By far the best WR in the draft...)

5. Arizona Cardinals - Joe Thomas, OT Wisconsin (Arizona needs someone to protect Matt and to open holes for Edge)

6. Washington Redskins - Darrelle Revis, CB Pittsburgh (Washington HAS to upgrade their defense in some way other than throwing money at vets.)

7. Minnesota Vikings- Dwayne Jarrett, WR USC (Another team with serious WR needs)

8. Houston Texans - Ted Ginn Jr, WR Ohio State (Moulds is not the #2 they thought he might be..and they were sold enough on D.Davis to pass on Bush...Davis/Daynes in the backfield next year is not a bad combo)

9. Miami Dolphins- Alan Branch, DT Michigan (best tackle coming out this year)

10. Atlanta Falcons - LaRon Landry, S LSU (Take away D. Hall and the backfield has combined for 1 interception)

11. San Francisco 49ers - Gaines Adams, DE Clemson (Bryant is having a good year but turns 35 next year)

12. Buffalo Bills - Leon Hall, CB Michigan (considered the best CB in the draft by some..)

13.St. Louis Rams - Paul Posluszny, OLB, Penn State (..anyone think that Posluzney might make Dexter Coakley's stats laughable in his first year?)

14. Carolina Panthers - Reggie Nelson, S Florida (Carolina needs a Safety that can support the run and blitz, and Nelson is climbing the charts)

15. Pittsburgh Steelers- Quentin Moses, DE/OLB (OK..you changed my mind for me..Porters replacement is picked up to groom under him for a year)

16.Green Bay Packers-Marshawn Lynch, RB California (at some point opponants need to start respecting the Packers running game)

17. Jacksonville Jaguars - Michael Griffin. S Texas (Griffin is just what they need in a defensive player...and some think he is a steal this late in the draft)

18. Cincinnati Bengals - Marcus McCauley, CB Fresno State (6'1, 4.3..Several UFA's will have this team on the ropes ..and other teams can pass against them...all...day...long)

19. Tennessee Titans- Robert Meachum, WR Tennessee (Meechum stays in Tennessee...instantly makes the WR corp better)

20. New York Giants -Daymeion Hughes, CB California (The Giants get a CB with great size at 6'2 190, and great hands)

21. Denver Broncos- Charles Johnson, DE Georgia (So hard to not go RB..but Denver needs to upgrade their run defense)

22. New England Patriots (from Seattle) - Patrick Willis, LB Mississippi (Best natural ILB in the draft)

23. Dallas Cowboys - Justin Blaylock, OG/OT Texas (Romo needs time to check down...Blaylock locks on to his man until the whistle blows)

24. Kansas City Chiefs - Levi Brown, OT Penn State (Every year I think they will go WR and they never do...)

25. New Orleans Saints - Zack Miller, TE Arizona St (Another weapon in New Orleans... who get the best TE in the draft)

26. New York Jets- Greg Olsen, TE Miami ( (With renewed faith in Pennington..Chad is given an outlet)

27.Chicago Bears -Rufus Alexander, OLB Oklahoma . (With the real possibility of losing a starter to FA..Bears pick up young talent)

28. New England Patriots - Aaron Ross CB Texas (Thorpe award recipient as nations top DB, spent three years behind extremely talented upperclassmen ...Michael Huff, Nathan Vasher, Cedric Griffin... and exploded when given the chance)

29. Baltimore Ravens - Michael Bush RB, Louisville (History of injuries...but the upside on Bush is off the scales

30. Indianapolis Colts- Prescott Burgess, OLB Michigan (Indy is ranked 32 in run defense..Burgess can blitz and lock on to a RB)

31. Philadelphia Eagles-H.B. Blades, LB Pittsburgh (May go OL with Howard getting older..but blades is a serious talent)

32. San Diego Chargers - Jeff Samardzija, WR Notre Dame (will go higher with a good combine...has the size and the hands that teams are looking for)

Default Re: SF Mock Drafts

Mock Draft - SteelCzar76 (TOP 15)

1) Raiders: Calvin Johnson WR Georgia tech (Al Davis will not be sold on any of this years top Qb's with a pick this high)

2) Lions: Joe Thomas OT Wisconsin (need to get back to being able to run the ball,...will look for Drew Stanton perhaps in the 2nd)

3) Browns: Troy Smith Qb Ohio State (Pick will suprise many outside of scouts and insiders, but smith is THE best Qb available regardless of height. Could have immediate impact on offense)

4) Bucs: Amobi Okoye DT Louisville (Bucs are very thin up front with the loss of Mcfarland and likely departure of Rice. And Okoye's ability and intelligence have many regarding him as the best D-lineman of the Draft)

5) Cardinals: Justin Blaylock OT/OG Texas (With Thomas off of the board this is a no brainer. Blaylock is a "Road Grader" with the athleticism to play Guard or Tackle)

6) Redskins: Alan Branch DT Michigan (they are in shambles up front)

7) Vikings: Dwayne Jarrett WR USC (They are thin at receiver and DJ is the 1b receiver of his class)

8) Texans: Reggie Nelson S Florida ( Need safety help terribly. And though I regard Landry as the best DB let alone safety,.. the Texans will probably become enamored with Nelson's 40 time and "brain fart")

9) Dolphins: Paul Posluzny LB Penn State (Need to inject some impact youth to aging defensive unit,....Pos would be an almost perfect fit)

10) Falcons: Tedd Ginn Jr WR Ohio State (Fan outcry and Blank's coddeling of Vick will make them attempt to get him more "weapons". Ginn although undersized,.. is VERY explosive. And could make Vick actually look like a QB)

11) 49ers : Marcus Mccauley CB Fresno State (Need help at corner and Mccauley will probably put up better numbers at the combine than Hall. Not to mention he's bigger and a california product)

12) Bills: Levi Brown (Bills need help on O-line and Brown is a "battle tested" mountain of a lineman)

13) Rams: Buster Davis lb FSU (Almost perfect fit for Rams. Davis is comparable to Jon Vilma)

14) Panthers: Marshawn Lynch RB Cal (Need consistencey in the ground game and Lynch may very well be this years "Laurence Maroney")

15) STEELERS: ADRIAN PETERSON rb Oklahoma (could be one of the biggest shocks of the Draft. Peterson dropping to us because of teams drafting for need and or slight concerns about his durability.)

I love Patrick Willis. If I were making the decision for the Steelers, he's who I'd pick. I do like the defensive end, Moses, from Georgia as well.

As much as I like a couple of the runningbacks such as Irons (even though he's an Auburn guy) and Peterson, we need a stud along the defensive front seven. Willis is the best guy out there as far as I'm concerned. He'll probably end up going higher than #15 but we shall see.

Willis is a good one. You'd be lucky to get him there, he's really impresses. Poz should still be there though, and Timmons too if you're looking at him. I like Moss for you're system, he looks like he could develop into a nice stand up 3-4 OLB.

My Updated 7 Round Mock Draft
1. DE/LB Jarvis Moss Fla.
2. DB Marcus McCauley Fresno St.
3. WR Steve Smith USC
4. OG Ben Grubbs Auburn
5. OT Mansfield Wrotto G.A. Tech
6. RB Germaine Race Pittsburgh St.
7. P Eric Wilbur Fla.
Jarvis is very impressive with his size/speed ratio and that is what our defense needs with the loss of Porter. McCauley if he is still here would give us some help in the secondary that we so badly need. And if WR Steve Smith is still here then he will be very hard to pass up. OG Grubbs would give us some more depth on the O Line along with Wrotto. Race is my draft sleeper and we need a new punter in the worst way right now..
