It is good that they are trying so many people out in their system. The will probably find some people on that list that are worth keeping or taxi-squadding

Clearly these 11 have been talking to the team for a while so the fact that we didn't pick up a running back in the draft but picked up three today is interesting.

We clearly had opportunities to pick up a back during the draft so what is it they saw in these backs?

Probably the fact that they didn't cost a draft pick.

Seems like an exercise in futility when you have John 'Can' Kuhn almost on the roster.

The Patriots didn't bother with swagger to start this NFL season; they went straight to defiant. Either you're one of them or you're about to get crushed.

I read somewhere that they are still looking for a second back... and that they were going to put a LOT of RB's on the roster right after the draft, looking for one that could take some carries.

I don't like it myself. However, I guess I can understand it. If they are switching schemes, then need who they need... but I still wish I would have seen M. Bush come to us in the 3rd.

A few tall receivers, 6'3" and 205 ish, and another tall TE. It appears that Tomlin is really going to open up the offense in a two to three TE formation, at times. Would love to see one of the tall receivers make the team. Hope someone has the talent.

Robbins was a DE. It appears that he did play some FB in high school.

Jones was expected to be drafted in the 6th or 7th round. 6'4" 282 with a 4.7 is not bad at all for a DE. He might be able to play OLB with that speed combined with dropping a few lbs. A tweener that I hope makes the team.

I'm shocked by the pick-up of Russell. He ran a 4.8 and weighed in at 229 and is just 5'10". His bench of 225 lbs. for 9 reps is laughable! What the hell would anyone see in this guy? He flunked out of school. He said,"I was going to class periodically and then it got worse when I stopped going to class at all. Once I found out I wasn't going to pass, I didn't go." Sounds like a graduate of the Department of Redundancy Department.

This young man obviously does not appear to possess the desire nor intellect to do what it takes to be a Steeler.

I had heard there was a good player from WVU - moses? local guy, that might've been a nice fit but signed with MN.

I hear you, but this is the pro's. He obviously did not prepare for the combine. That says plenty about work ethic. Fat and weak are not considered assets for a professional running back.

That being said, I sincerely hope that he turns it all around in camp. We need another at his position for depth.
