Default Looking in the past....

if you were the GM of the steelers and you could sign one player that is still in the league to play next season which player would you choose.(besides joey porter)

if i could choose 1 player i would choose chad scott. the DB from maryland who was drafted in the late 1990's. he was our best corner at the time but the steelers went for youth.

I really liked watching him play last season. Hopefully he continues that into this season

I am assuming you mean any ex-Steeler still in the NFL? If that's the case, I would want Hope. If it was any player in the league, LaDainian Tomlinson.

Smith will be better then Hope. I liked Hope alot but he was just a hitter. Anthony Smith he can hit and he is a ballhawk.

mike vrabel is the anti lance briggs or porter. he's happy playing for pennies, thus wouldve given years of relief to our cap and allow us to offer tons of money to his future replacements via free agency.

Great Choice Tony...
He is one of those ex-steelers that just got better with age and maturity... he is a great role player in Patriot land ... but I think that Chris Hope would have meant alot more to our team defense though...

Fairy Tom. (ducks from the cyber-tomatoes).

Seriously - I'd have to say Shawne Merriman - he's a beast. Honorable mention would go to Champ Bailey - he's like the Eveready Bunny - he just keeps going and going and going.

I'd have to say Champ Bailey. When the QB won't throw to one half of the field most of the time, you got yourself quite an advantage.
