Default Jeff Reeds new toy

doesnt it seem like the majority of jeff reeds kicks are a few feet away from the left upright? i think this will help:

It might also be entered into the record at this point that placekicker Jeff Reed was rewarded for his persistence with a new apparatus that simulates a goal post with a crossbar matching Arena Football dimensions.

"It's nine feet instead of 18," Reed explained. "I've asked for it the last two years. But Coach Cowher wasn't a big fan of the idea."

Wouldn't hurt to try. If it helps to make him a better fg kicker then I say go for it.

Is there anything available to improve kicking distance? When's the last time Reed put a kickoff in the endzone? I can't recall it ever happening.

ditto. for some reason it seems we are always giving it to them right around the 10 ... and the usually return it no less than the 25 ... ridiculous

Surprised there is no indication someone will be brought in to seriously challenge Reed.

After the game in Cleveland last season where kickoffs were being squibbed and the Browns were getting the ball around the 40 (when I suggested they might as well intentionally kick it out of bounds) I thought Reed's days were numbered.

The Baylor placekicker handled kickoffs the last 2 seasons. In some boxscores Sepulveda was credited with kickoffs in the 60-65 yard range, so I do not know if that is being considered as a serious option - something needs to happen.

I'm hoping Sepulveda is the answer on kickoffs because I really like J Reed at placekicker. He hits a lot of clutch FG's at home on that awful turf and in bad weather.

Reed probably got the ideal off of arena football field goal setup. Probably will better him.

I'm hoping he gets a shot at kickoffs, too. Jeff Reed is a decent clutch FG PK, but to be quite honest (and I'll say it) - he sucks on kickoffs. Many fans put the blame on the rest of the ST's for the nice field position some of our opponents were getting, when Reed should have been wearing the dunce cap.
