Kelly Gregg, Mike Anderson, Trevor Pryce, Ray Lewis, Jonathan Ogden, Samari Rolle, Chris McCalister, Terrell Suggs, Ed Reed and Mike Flynn are all skipping voluntary practices this year. "I am comfortable with the guys who we have here," Billick said. "Those who aren't, I am very comfortable knowing what they'll be able to do once they get here." I don't know what to say really. I know it's just mini-camp, but you would think that after only two playoff seasons since 2001 and going one-and-out at home both times they would adopt an attitude to try to get better and over the hump. On top of that, Mcgahee predicted they would be playing in the Super Bowl on Total Access. But hey, they won the North last year, so I guess they do have a reason to be confident. |

since re-alaignment and the division was created no team has repeated as champions of the afc north.
pretty much every other year the steelers win the division and every other year the ravens break down due to injuries. good job ravens!

Same trap we fell into last year - let them kick back while we just get better and better.

I think it's a matter of natural progression. What i mean is they may believe that they have the neccessary talent at the very least to win our division.
Along with the fact that they may view us (being the the 'benchmark' of the division) as having taken more steps 'backwards' than forwards in regards to improving from a personel standpoint,... or at the very least remained stagnate. However,.....i look forward to us proving our worth as an organization not only to the them (Rats),....but to the rest of the league as a whole. |

E-man.
After last year, this is one of the things I am most interested in, the Steeler / Ratbird games! May definitely determine the division! |

Of course Stabbit Ray isn't there - he's honing his knife-wielding technique.
![]() Quite frankly, I think the Rats are somewhat overrated as a whole, and it would take up all of Mike's bandwidth for me to list all of the reasons why I feel that way. As for McGahee's comment, he should be more concerned about getting his doopa ready for the season instead of trying to butter up his new teammates and Bil-dick by playing soothsayer.

But in general, this year the Rats are due for a rude awakening. They got trash-talky before their playoff game vs the Colts, and you know what happened. That's been the staple of Brian Billick's team post-2000. They fall for their own hype, get overconfident, and underachieve. |
