Congrats to Cousin Carl in the Busch race....he had the car to beat.
![]() Major props in Victory Lane... "Yeah, Matt Kenseth did an unbelieveable job in that Arby's Fusion, uh, with NO TIRES! I mean, I couldn't believe how fast he was! He's one of the greatest drivers there is, so that was really awesome to get to race with him." Meanwhile.....heads up... TNT (Turner Network) will air the next 6 races: Pocono, Michigan, Sonoma, New Hampshire, Daytona and Chicago. ESPN will take over for the 6 races after that: Brickyard, Pocono, Watkins Glen, Michigan, Bristol, Calif. ABC will air the final 11 races. There's talk that TNT will be showing the races with a version of picture-in-picture for commercials. Not like ABC/ESPN does with Indy cars, but something where you can follow the action during commercial breaks. Sounds like a lot of on-screen graphics going on. We might need a pop-up blocker for our TVs - lol! |

![]() i guess anythings better than nothing. sure does suck that the fox season is so short now. oh well, i cant wait to hear the wisdom of rusty every week!!! sunday rain delays suck. my boss may be in town so i cant go home for 3 hrs or watch the fuzzy version on UHF at work. oh well, i guess i'll record it and atleast be able to skip all the commercials. the hard part is not finding out the results before i watch.

3 fords and 1 dodge in the top 15. unfortunately it looks like no other make, except for the occasional rousch win (im predicting 3-4 ford wins all by team rousch) will win this season. pretty obvious the chevys are sandbagging (jeff gordon said as much) until the end of the races.
but im glad to see truex get his first win even if it was at the expense of newman. him, kenseth, and jr made saturday racing worth watching. tony stewart proves why he's a prick once again and unfortunately busch almost runs over a pit crew member and forgets that revenge is best served cold. the best thing was watching jimmie burn up his tire, to prove once again he really doesnt understand what the hell hes doing out there. the best part was my boss not coming in and fox coming in crystal clear (as far as UHF is concerned). toughest day i put in at the shop in a long time

That TV deal is going to pay off HUGE for NASCAR down the road. Some people thought that they should have gotten more money and stuck with one or two networks, but what they did was give several channels a taste of big ratings who might not normally get them, especially on a Saturday night or a Sunday afternoon when they might normally be showing fishing shows or infomercials. When this contract is up, there will be a huge bidding war and NASCAR will have a bigger TV contract then the NFL. It sounds unbelievable now, but wait and see.

Speaking of Eldora....I got all liquored up and bought the PPV.
It was AWESOME! Best racing I've seen all year. 4 hours, 3 heat races, qualifying, B-main (which Matt won, starting 9th and beating Hamlin by sliding him out at the line - lots of spotlight time there!) and the main event and NO COMMERCIALS! It was sweet....
