Can I clone a team full of Lambert hearts....and give everyone a transplant?
...and while I'm at it....is it possible to clone intimidation?

Lambert and Woodson were my first choices for obvious reasons.

Next, I'd have to go with Rocky Bleier. Who didn't love the Rock? Tough as nails, gritty, fierce competitor, team first 'tude and not only could he lead block with the best of 'em - how many FBs in NFL history have rushed for 1,000 yards? He would be a great partner for FWP! Truly one of my fave all-time Steelers.

Great choice, HTG...we could use more players like Blier in the NFL period!

As for my choice....I'd say Mel Blount....he could lower the boom on folks!

Hard to choose just one. I'd have to say all of them on the above posts and add a young Bettis.

I'd have to go with Lambert. It's a hard choice, but to me Jack stands for everything that was dominate about the 70's Steeler's.

As for the no teeth, just ask John Elway how he felt about that look in his first game.

I'll take two and they would be Jack Ham and Mel Blount.

If you could clone one former Steeler player to play for our team THIS year, who would it be
Not surprisingly, there were many votes for Mean Joe and Lambert, but look at the actual question. Though they were both great players, both excelled in the 4-3 defense. Since we're playing the 3-4 defense this year, neither Greene nor Lambert would be as effective. I think Greg Lloyd would be the better pick for this year's team. His pass rush skills would make our good secondary look great.

If I were to go offense, I'd go with Dawson. The line is where we need the most help on offense IMO. I'd pick Dawson over Webster only because Dawson was better at guard than Webby, and he'd give us more versatility.

Of the more recent players I would take Woodson in his prime for help in the secondary and also use him for kickoff returns. Out of the players from the 70's I'd want Franco Harris.

Greg Loyd on defense. We need that pass-rushing presence.

Mike Webster on offense. Our biggest weakness last year was the offensive line, and having Webby would improve the o-line 400000000000000 fold.
