Pirates' Nady improves after treatment Thursday, June 07, 2007 By Dejan Kovacevic, Pittsburgh Post-Gazette WASHINGTON -- Pirates right fielder Xavier Nady showed improvement this morning with his tight left hamstring after being forced out of the game last night at RFK Stadium. Manager Jim Tracy said Nady had no additional spasms or swelling in the hamstring, which caused him to miss 10 starts a month ago, and that treatment this morning had him "actually doing OK." Nady was considered available to pinch-hit in the game this afternoon against the Washington Nationals, but Tracy said he "probably" would pinch-run for him if he reached base.
