"That, the leadership role as well..when you are playing LB, ur basically the QB of the defense,"

Right, Bruschi was the defensive QB. And I agree, it will take some time, and some moves from other players, to fill the void. But if there's anything the Patriots have shown they can do, it's adjust.

I think the Pats looked beatable last week too, but I'm not going to consider them as such until they go down in the playoffs (and what a great day that will be!) I noticed a lot of little things, like David Givens dropping the ball, that are not going to happen down the road. Plus, even when the team seems down, Brady always finds a way. However, when Brady's down, the door seems to open a bit. So, I think the only chance any team has is to frustrate Brady, and frustrate him early.

One game at a time. Take it one game at a time.

I wish "LivinginthePast" would espouse that same philosophy...

One game at a time is a motto for the coaches I think - to keep the players focussed on the game ahead - blinkers on the thoroughbred horse if you like.

As a fan I have no such worries, nothing I do or say will affect my teams performance so I feel I can take as many games 'at a time' as I like.....keeping an eye on the 'big picture'.

Still, each to their own...some of us get confused as to whether we are fans or coaches...

Cheers

Nice sig DW - that Watson is gonna be big time this year - you have any theories as to why he went MIA in the 2nd half versus Oakland?

Some people seem to think he was being used as a deep threat to open up the midrange stuff - whereas others seemed to think BB was keeping him up his sleeve for when we really need him?!

Cheers

I always take it one game at a time, especially in pro football, because any team can knock off any other team on any given Sunday, and the big picture changes every game...

Thanks.

They started putting serious coverage on him and while that is bad for Watson, it was great for Dillon, Branch, Dwight, Brown & Givens.
