Jun 08, 12:38 PM A story in the Palm Beach Post reports that QB Daunte Culpepper was escorted off the practice field by the director of security. Dolphins' team sources tell FFChamps.com that Culpepper is being traded to the Jacksonville Jaguars for undisclosed considerations pending a physical.

Dolphins coach Cam Cameron has said he cannot discuss the matter at this time.

"Right now I have no comment because there are things that we are currently working on," Cameron said. "Things that if I made a comment, it could put those things in jeopardy. So for right now, I have no comment.

We will continue to follow-up with this story as more details become available.

The thigna bout McNair was he had a history of minor things that built up.

Cullpepper's knew is just straight screwed up.It's gonna force him to be a pocket passer, something he is not.

'pep' is young and can still probably turn into anything he wants to be.

mcnair was once known as a 'scrambling' qb despite his career at alcorn state as "air mcnair".

not being able to scramble didnt hurt him too much last year.

point is, calling 'pep' washed up at this point is a bit premature. the dolphins tried to make up for a HUGE mistake of passing on brees, by starting their qb WAY too early.

dolphins screwed that up... not 'pep'.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but if he flunks the physical, isn't Miami stuck with him and on the hook for his $5.5 million salary this season?

i dont think so. theyre only on the hook for the backloaded portion of his signing bonus ( which i dont think was that much, but am not sure)

i dont think they would put that risk in the hands of their medical staff, after the blunder of saying 'pep' was less of a risk than brees last season.

Well, I'm sure he'd pass any physical given by the Dolphins' medical staff at this point. I was thinking more about him having to pass a physical administered by the medical staff of the team that might receive him in a trade. If that happens, I would think the Dolphins will have to eat the loss and cut him outright as he stated emphatically that he would not accept a paycut. The Broncos did the same with Al Wilson recently - they tried to trade him to the Giants, he flunked the Giants' physical killing the deal and a couple of weeks later the Broncos cut him loose. Wilson was cut in April and designated as a "June 1 cut," and supposedly saved the Broncos. $1.63 million in cap space for '07 and he was scheduled to make $5.2 million base in '07. However, what are the rules for a "post-June 1 cut"?
