I'm with the majority here who would like to see an AFL team in da Burgh, but I share 83's concerns as to how well it would do here. Personally, I enjoy arena football and it sure would be a nice filler while awaiting the start of the NFL and NHL seasons.

For those of you who may want a preview of the experience should check out the Pittsburgh River Rats when AIFA Season comes around. The experience is crazy. I'll just let you know, then they should consider keeping the glass up. a guy went over the boards and crossed into the Johnstown bench during the Johnstown Riverhawks/Tallahassee Titans game down at the War Memorial in Johnstown.

I would love an AFL team! Would be lots of fun! I was hoping the new arena would lead to this. i hope that a Pittsburgh AFL team would stick to black and gold. Maybe Kordel or Maddux could be the QB. LOL!

HA that would be halouris if old school tommy madox went back to the second tierd football league and then did so well he got back into the NFL
Ya i cant imagine a PIttsburgh team without the colors black and gold. I wouldnt mind having an AFL team in Pitt hey atleast it gives me and AFL team to rout for during the offseason

The nearest to you in Connecticut If I'm not mistaken are the Dragons if you want warm up with them if Pittsburgh gets an AFL team.

Tommy was a very successful XFL QB (during that league's very short tenure) in case you weren't aware of it, Matt. Kordell was just......well.....Kordell. A guy with great athletic ability but an emotional ball of goo.

Can't blame you for not cheering for those Yankees. They just lost again. But that's not the point.

HTG, I never paid attention to the XFL really. I heard Maddox was pretty good and also a good QB in the AFL.
