Default 07 Special Teams

Ed Bouchette's newest piece, "Tomlin expects all rookies at start of Steelers camp", say Tomlin plans on running 2-a-days in order to focus on special teams. Interesting. Anyone up for predictions about our STs?

Too early to make predictions, but with new ST coaches, anything is possible.

The Steelers will be much improved on special teams this year...The drafting of Daniel Sepulveda alone improved the Steelers special teams...No more Gardocki and his weak leg.....lol

No fumbles would be a great improvement.

I just read this on Steelers.com and Iike the fact that he will have specific special teams practices. ST is what hurt us a lot last season.

I'd be willing to bet money that our special teams improve dramatically this year. The very fact that Tomlin is spending so much time on it makes it a lock, but the added fact that he's probably willing to put starters on the ST if necessary is the clincher.

Agreed. And I also read that Willie Reid is 100% which will definitly help the return game.

If he needs me, I'll be ready to go in.

HometownGal and I can set up a good wedge.

Noice!

Hmm...LoL...How about hopes instead of predictions?

I certainly hope we have improved STs this year - specifically down the field on punts and returns. I indeed hope we see some starters on special teams this year; besides Keisel the Diesel.

Daniel Sepulvada should be a great addition (he better be for the draft pick he took up). It is good to hear Reid will be ready. Hopefully, he can stay healthy and be a good returner.
