I don't think it will. As MACH1 pointed out, the more intense workouts now will go a long way toward mitigating the injury bug as the season rolls on.

Personally, I'm loving this new attitude. I was always a big Cowher supporter, but I have to admit, he was getting a little soft during Training Camp.

I just love the change in the whole atmosphere with the Steelers. I hope it's a good change, guess we'll see in a few months.

I don't think the 2 a days are too tough on the guys at all, but that's just me. In my experience with being in charge of and with motivating students/young adults, I've found it's much easier to be able to lighten up down the road rather than start out "soft" and try to regain control later on.

Just my 2 cents. Either way, I'm more excited for this season than I have been in a long time!!!

Yep, It might cut down on the the pulled hamies (Ward) or the infamous groin pull.

There are also comparison's to Knoll's camps which were notoriously tough and not just for the sake of validating the coach as king. I think Tomlin is looking for intensity.. mental and physical. The best time to render that from each player and the team is now. If they prepare for the intensity in camp, once game time comes they will be ready for any opponent.

I really like this new attitude that Coach Tomlin is bringing to the Steelers I hope that it translates on to the game field.
