well bettis said he doesn't want to carry a lot, only around the goal line and short yardage. so it's gonna be split up between duce and willie, with how many times we run a game it shouldn't be that much of a problem with the backs getting carries.

Somebody else proposed this, and I agree (Sorry, can't remember who it was on here).
Willie- 1st and 2nd down, starting back Duce- 3rd down, long down, situational back (Duce has superior pass catching and blocking skills) Bettis- Strictly short yardage/goal line This formula plays on everybodies strengths, and damn if it wouldn't give nightmares to every Defensive Coordinator we might face this year! |

36.5 that's how many times the Steelers rush per game. With W. Parker getting 20-25 carries that still leaves 11-16.5 carries still up in the air. I could see Duce getting 10-12 and Haynes still being the 3rd down back.

damn that's a crap load of running, i think we'll just use duce for the third downs as well as willie cause willie can catch it and duce can pound it and catch it. so IMO haynes will go through stretches during the season where he don't even step out on the field. i much rather have duce or willie durin the third downs.
