Preseason teaser poem - HOF Game

Ok y'all, well the Steelers have played a game, so it's time for a poem. I decided to honor Mike Tomlin's first game as head coach! Can't wait for the new season!

Saints vs Steelers in the Hall Of Fame Game
Steelers have a new coach - Mike Tomlin is his name

Last season didn't turn out quite like we all hoped
We ended at .500 and we all coped

So much happened - though it could have been worse
Defending a Superbowl seems to be a curse

But that's over now - it's the start of the Steelers 75th year
I know I'm glad the season is almost here

Some preseason games give us a glimpse of what's ahead
We've got a Black and Gold hunger that needs to be fed

Ben helped us score quickly - it didn't take long
And over the night - not much went wrong

It's only preseason so it doesn't mean much
The details don't matter like stats and scores and such

So it's usually for the real season I save my rhyme
But I had to give the new coach some time

Tomlin's debut has been quite a show
Watch out NFL! The Steelers are back! UH OH!!

Seriously,you should send these to the Steelers,they might publish them in the Steelers Digest or something.

As for ParkerFan's question- no, not professional, just use my little bit of creativity to write about something I live and breathe - Steelers football!! :-)

2 years ago a sweet moment passed
it was the Steelers winning the super bowl, kicking ass
a year has passed and still we have that taste
now a new era has started with a new face
his name is Tomlin, some had doubts
the team has played and still conducting try outs
but sincerely as a Steelers fan I must say
after the first game, i cant wait for another game day
to see them Steelers kicking ass once more
them Steelers we do certainly adore!
