Does anyone know how to get rid of the adds that come up with the ESPN.Com homepage and then never go away? They're driving me crazy because they block the main article and the links on the left hand side of the page.
I vow never to support or buy from any of the companies posting these damn things. Any advice on how to get rid of them would be appreciated. Thnx.

Thanks, Suit...but the add that comes up for me doesn't have a little x that I can click, unless its camouflaged (I'm colorblind). Mine's a goodyear ad. Oh well...

That sucks...what about your setting? Do you have the resolution set too rich for your screen?

I went there as well.. just closed the ad.. not much you can usually do w/ those as they are part of the site and not a popup... adblock on FF didnt take care of it either.

Thanks guys. I don't know what the deal was with that Goodyear Add, I couldn't find anyway to get rid of it. I sent ESPN an e-mail about it. Today there's no problem. I guess others may have had the same problem yestersday. I was starting to get a complex about my eyes...but, as long as I can see black and gold I'm good.

I sorted the problem for you - I went and bought some tyres in your name - so you should be ad-free for the rest of the season Cheers NM

The Patriots didn't bother with swagger to start this NFL season; they went straight to defiant. Either you're one of them or you're about to get crushed. |
