Thumbs down Re: Timmons to seek second opinion on injury

this guy is a bum and should have never been drafted so high. I said on draft day, "Well there's another Troy Edwards or Jermain Stephens type pick." Guess they should have drafted that guy who plays LB from Penn State!

Whoa, calm down, he hasn't played a single pre season game. Right now let's just let him get healthy and play and then find out if he's worth the pick or not.

Amen to that. I hope McFadden, and Reid prove me wrong, but starting to think FSU guys are busts.

This is Tomlin's guy - about the only glitch to Tomlin's start as HC is the Timmons pick, but even before the injury nobody else had Timmons ranked as high as the Steelers.

If he was so great I question why he only started 1 year at FSU - 10 years ago that program was as loaded with talent as Southern Cal is now, but not lately

At this point all I can say is hope for the best and remember Troy had a rocky first year

Personally, I don't care if he sits six months as long as it gets healed. The steelers are ok at linebacker without Timmons at the moment. Let it heal and comeback when they are sure.

Come on people...

We need to come down. Calling the guy a bust because he has an injury?

Um... Don't you remember that the year before last, we drafted a guy in the first round with a groin problem, matter of fact, the surgery to fix it was the SAME surgery that another one of our linebackers called BELL had.

Let the guy sit. Let this get healed. THen move him in slowly. He will be fine.

Will he be a bust? Who knows. But calling him a bust now is simply ridiculous.

Couldn't have said it better myself.

I think we should give it time no matter how long it takes and work him in slowly.

I agree, we shouldn't be calling him a bust! He hasn't played a down yet, but he does have alot of potential. My only worry is that groin injuries can plague someone their whole career, surgery or not. Lets hope he gets healed up to 100% quick and becomes the player the FO thinks he can be.
