Steeler fans in Kuwait?

If anyone knows I'm sure it would be you guys!

Just had a contract come up and I'm headed to Kuwait on Sep. 7th....Yes, two days before regular season begins. What makes it better is my return date of Jan 1st. Just two days after regular season ends...I'll be back in time to see the Black & Gold in the playoffs at least, but I'm still in more or less shock that I'll be missing the entire regular season.

I'm just wondering if anyone knows of any Steeler fans in Kuwait anywhere, kind of a stretch I know but I'd enjoy talking Steelers with someone at least since I won't have my usual crew to attend Heinz Field with.

I'm not really expecting anyone to know, this is more or less a cry for help! Thanks!

finney, been to Kuwait numerous times. Wear your Steelers cap over there and I gaurantee you will find a Steelers fan. I was flying through there alot with the Air Force and wore my hat alot and almost evertime I landed somebody started talking Steelers. You won't have any problem finding fans over there.

Sweet, thanks for the advice! I knew someone on these boards would have experience with that. You guys are great!

Now I have to find someone with Sunday Ticket and DVR over there. I have a buddy in the UAE that has both so I don't see why someone somewhere in Kuwait won't have it. If there is I will find them!

Thanks for the link! I was thinking that's the only way I'll really be able to watch any football (Sopcast). Only problem is the internet isn't exactly high speed and is very inconsistent. They do televise MNF, although it start's at 3AM so it's straight from there to work. But who am I to complain, that's a guaranteed two games anyway.

It all won't be too bad if I can find some people to chat up with about the Steelers, and from the way it sounds I will be in luck.
