You don't need 50 posts to send a PM - you should be able to send a PM immediately upon registering. You do need 50 posts to post a website link, and with all due respect it's not ridiculous - it's a measure intended to discourage spammers.

Really? I've been trying to PM two people and it tells me the 50 post rule! I'm registered and all and this is ridiculous, all due respect.
