When asked if he knew anything about how this video mysteriously surfaced,
Eli Manning replied "No...he he he". ![]() Peyton Manning Tango Video Surfaces Colts QB's Pressure Moment Came In School Play MIAMI -- This quarterback can dance. The video of a middle school play that Indianapolis Colts quarterback Peyton Manning referenced on Wednesday when asked if he could deal with pressure situations has surfaced, thanks to a former classmate who now lives Boston. Video: Peyton Does The Tango http://www.theindychannel.com/video/10922563/index.html "There's video. Don't look for it -- it's deep in the Manning vault, I can assure you," Manning said during a Wednesday press conference in southern Florida, where his Colts play the Bears in the NFL's championship game on Sunday. Manning said his performance in the play was proof that he could come through in the clutch. "It was a full-on tango," Manning recalled. Manning had been asked about the most pressure he had faced in his life. He started his answer by saying that when he was in eighth grade, he registered for a musical theater class to get out of a computer course. "A week into it, they said, 'Well, by the way, you have to be in the school play,'" Manning said. "I said, 'I don't want to do that,' and they said, 'Well, you're in the play.'" Manning said he was assigned the role of Miguel in a play called "The Boyfriend." He'd have to do a tango with a character called Lola, and he'd have to wear black pants, a red ruffle tuxedo shirt, and a yellow cummerbund. He dreaded performing in front of his family, especially his brothers Eli and Cooper. "Saturday, they were going to be able to be there, and that was pressure," he said. "But I did it, man. I studied up. I went full speed on that tango." http://www.wlwt.com/cincinnati_benga...0/detail.html#

Thats pretty funny - Manning wasn't as big a stiff as I thought he would be.
I was surprised the attack by his partner didnt bring a flag for 'roughing the dancer'.

They've been great for a while now, three Super Bowls' worth of great. But only this season have the New England Patriots become The Show, the must-see team of stars, pretty boys and reformed bad boys. Suddenly, the Patriots are not simply great; they're compelling, fascinating, appearing to be almighty and a touch lawless. The Patriots didn't bother with swagger to start this NFL season; they went straight to defiant. Either you're one of them or you're about to get crushed. |
