I'm setting down Bioshock and picking up my black Les Paul in 5 minutes. Reviews tomorrow, but I can't see how this could be a miss.

It's excellent. The only problem I see so far is that there are only 10 of 70 songs available in quick play, but I'm sure career mode is different. I've played GH2 and GH the 80's and this seems to be slightly more difficult. The wireless guitar is a nice upgrade over GH2.
If you've got an extra $100 laying around, this is a must buy.

Thanks rev, I'll definitely take a look at this game.
Btw, do you know how much does an extra guitar cost? |

I REALLY prefer GH on PS2.
Probably because I learned to play it on there. I'm having trouble with Slayer on Expert, but once I beat that its on to the final tune. I won't give it away. The buttons on the 360 seem closer together, I still do alright, but not nearly as clean as on the PS2. I have to agree, this one is much harder, on Expert, at least, there are three button chord transitions that I can't help but think real guitar playing has helped me nail. By far the best GH. Not to mention the bonus song that you unlock after beating it is one of my favorites in real life, though INSANELY difficult to play.

No idea, but Target was advertising a 2 guitar pack for $90. There were none in sight when I went there.
And, crush, you're definitely right. Playing guitar helps. I basically suck at GH, but I suspect many hundreds of hours will be invested (wasted) trying to change that.

South Park had an episode about GH3. It's officially a pop phenomemon.

And it was HILARIOUS. I would probably say that my age group is on the back end of the phenomenon of competitive Guitar Heroing, and I have to say, I was in stitches at the accuracy of this episode.

Guitar Hero 3 is alright, but I definitely like Guitar Hero 2 the best out of them all. In my opinion, it has better songs and better quality.
