Yes. He's going into his 4th season and it's time to take the training wheels off.

Quoting Seabiscuit's trainer Tom Smith regarding Ben.

Ben's not some young gun rookie kid anymore. Time to unhitch him. He's now a 4 year vet. He's had good times and bad times. He's got experience. Time for him to mature as a QB. First test for "New" Ben; the Cleveland Clowns.

I really hope New Ben is up to the challenge. Gosh, I'm so nervous for Sunday.

If he sucks this season he will truly have no one to blame but himself!

He's ready, Steelers fans. His ordeal over, his return will be complete come Saturday in Arizona, when football again becomes the focus and a career briefly interrupted resumes.

Except when he bravely carried on with "broken toes" in the playoff loss to New England

I agree Ben makes a point to put last season's failures on himself - I always assumed the maturity would come - the question is whether he has the tools to shoulder the addditional responsibilities - Peyton Manning brought his work ethic with him to the league - it reamins to be seen if Ben has developed that commitment.
