We started our season with a "Turnpike Rivalry" game
With a different coach, but the end result the same Tomlin's first game in Cleveland didn't end in a loss Something that can't be said about either previous boss And win he did and in convincing fashion With none of the spit but all of the passion Right from the start a muffed punt set the tone And then the Browns threw the Steelers a bone Soon after came a penalty - well not one but four And Ben took us down the field to a quick score 17- 0 and it was only the first quarter Bet some Browns fans wished the game was shorter? We had some rough time in the middle of the game Receivers with butter fingers get most of that blame But who are these Steelers with 2 tight end touchdowns? Who blitzed and bullied and manhandled those Browns? Six sacks and some turnovers - our defense was awesome Not to mention special teams play by Sepulveda and Rossum See you in Pittsburgh for the next scheduled meeting Which has really almost turned into the twice annual beating Now we move on to the next team we play The Buffalo Bills in our home opener next Sunday Normally here I would say something smart But because of what happened I will dedicate this part To Kevin Everett - you're in our thoughts and prayers I'm sure it's a feeling all of Steeler Nation shares As for the game we play - yes the Bills just might score But hopefully our Black and Gold will end up with more! GO STEELERS!! |

Awesome poem! It's nice to see it dedicated to Everett, my prayers go out to him as well.
