Sure, but what the hell does Vince Young have to do with it? That kinda weakens the "debate" right there, IMO.

16th against the run ......they did add poz the tackling machine 28th against the run.......they lost 2 starting DB'S on sunday. double team evans and don't let lynch get to the corners, blitz the hell out of loseman, and it should be a win.

1. The D-line argument you make is true. 2. I guess you never heard of Ike Taylor, that's ok, you will know who he is after the game... 3. Considering you most certainly looked up their 40 times and bench records from the combine that has to be true right? Wrong, VY is faster but Ben is stronger. But what does that have to do with anything? Either of those guys are better than J.P. LOSSman.

Losman has stepped up quite a bit over the last half season or so - you could now say he is an 'okay' QB.
As most people have highlighted, Lee Evans is the guy to watch - he is lightening - but teams will have taken note and gameplanned specifically for him after his 1300 yard season last year. They've decided to invest in the O-line and running game - Lynch looks very talented - but the Steelers are one of the elite tests any RB could wish to face - if he gets over 60 yards rushing i'll be surprised. The Bills will have to get up early, hit some deep bombs and hope their DE's can apply some pressure to Ben. I make Pittsburgh strong favorites - their running game should prove too much and I don't think Losman will be able to cope with the pressure of carrying the team when Lynch gets shut down.

They've been great for a while now, three Super Bowls' worth of great. But only this season have the New England Patriots become The Show, the must-see team of stars, pretty boys and reformed bad boys. Suddenly, the Patriots are not simply great; they're compelling, fascinating, appearing to be almighty and a touch lawless. The Patriots didn't bother with swagger to start this NFL season; they went straight to defiant. Either you're one of them or you're about to get crushed. |

Hello Steelers Fans
First time on this forum. Life long Steeler's fan here. I look forward to another Steelers beat down this weekend as the mediocre, rebuilding for the 8th straight season Bills come to town. This game is going to be fantastic for lovers of our defense and lovers of our running game. 2-0 is a great way to start the season. |

I think Atlanta may be in the market for a QB, so when the Steelers Defense finishes up with Lostman, maybe the Bills with trade their starting QB for an undisclosed draft pick.

Welcome, Dino.
I, too, think we should be able to handle to Bills. I like Smith as a nickel back, like they were using him last week. I'm guessing with Ike, who had a solid game against Cleveland, and some safety help, Lee Evans won't be too big of a problem. They are a quick offense. They have a lot of WRs with speed and Lynch is just icing on the cake. Getting to Losman is going to be key, I expect Lebeau to be firing away, but with this core a dink or a dunk can turn into a long touchdown. I'm not too concerned with how our offense will perform, they took some losses on defense, Spike, Flectcher, Clements, so they should be a little softer away from those bookends at DE. I'm looking for some slants and TE work to aide Willie in marching down the field. If we can keep their offense away from big plays and long third down conversions we should be able to handle this one. We'll give up more points than the Browns game, but we'll keep rolling through this soft early schedule.

Wow a lot of first time posters over here! And ill join in on the fun!
I'm reall not too worried about the Bills Offense. With Lebeau at the head of the Blitzburgh D everyone knows well bring the heat. Losmen is still an inexperienced erratice passer and i think the D-line will punnish him just like they did against Frye and Anderson. And against the rookie runningback Lynch, despite an average game against the bills i think he will struggle against one of the best rush D in the league. However, i am scarred to death of Rosco Parrish, kick and punt returner for the Bills. He already ran one back last week agains the Broncos. And Special Teams has been one of our biggest problems over the years. If we can limit Lee Evans to no 83 yard TD catches and get our offense going I see no reason why there isnt another blow out at steelers home opener. |
