Who's your starter for the playoffs and why?
We all know cowher will play them both alot, but who gets the nod to start the game. I'd say go with the Hot hand and start Jerome. Duce is the future for the next few years, and with him being injured for the 2nd half of the season, Jerome is in a zone and playing well, let's run with him ! |

I'd have to stay Duce gets the nod. Jerome's injury is pretty recent and I think they've been reserved with Duce because of post season. Might not be a bad thing entirely, keep them both fresh enough to put up great stats for the Championship game. I don't want to appear to be overconfident, but I can maybe see Verron and Willie P. getting some time on Saturday too. Keep the rotation going and keep everyone fresh as long as the situation allows it.
I also think, for what it's worth, that Ben's time on the sideline for the Bill's game is going to prove to be pretty valuable. How much time did he get to study our offense in game situations in an actual game before he was thrown to the wolves, so to speak? Something to ponder. |

Thats a good call.. verron will see some work especially as a 3rd down back this week. he regulary gets carries/draws/screens each game. Im not sure how much willy will see the ball this week, but he's definately a force that we'll need in this run we have.

If Abraham plays for NY then I start Jerome and pound away looking to tire out their side fast. If not then I start Duce and attack the outside and use screens with Verron and yes Parker(anyone remember Dave Meggett?) to get ahead fast then pound away. What a great problem! Duce or The Bus. San Fran wishes they had problems like this.

i think jerome gives us the best chance to win. He is just healthier! If Duce has the explosion that has been lacking since the injury, then I would say start him and bring in a rested Bus, but I do not believe Duce is at full health. Plus the bus had basically a few weeks off and should be rested!
