09/30/07 Steelers vs Cardinals

Ok, so this one was really hard (which is why it's wednesday and I'm posting it) LOL. I hate writing about losses!!! Here's to the next win!! Go Steelers!! :-)


Christmas came early for those men wearing red shirts
It's only one loss - but this one kinda hurts

The game was like a chess match between Whiz and Lebeau
No one could be really sure how it would go

We were playing against a coach who knew our offense inside out
This may have led to bad offensive line play no doubt

For a while there was not a lot scoring
Steelers games are almost never boring

Two turnovers for our defense but no points were allowed
This made the Cardinal fans a happy crowd

Ben may have tried to force too many passes
And these refs nowadays really do need some glasses

What were they thinking on that 4th and inches call?
And why didn't Tomlin challenge the spot of that ball?

Granted it's not the only thing that went wrong with our game
But you just never know if it would have turned out the same

Even though they were losing the Steelers kept on fighting
And it made the end of the game a little more exciting

Unfortunately that excitement ended pretty quick
Ben got picked off and that made us sick

But the season's far from over - there's a lot left to play
And we come back to Heinz to play Seattle on Sunday

If you think the same thing will happen again - don't
One bird beat us - the next one won't

Seattle vs Pittsburgh - we met last in a Superbowl
Bring it on again Seahawks - we're ready to roll!
